The constraints of this project were to use gas welding and torch cutting to create a sculpture inspired by something in nature. I am often inspired by gemstones and rock formations.

In this piece I welded gem-shaped structures and filled them with colorful surprises to give them that same feeling of playful wonder of small prizes from a gumball machine.
